How to Support our Bands
Band Camp Lunch Helpers:
Our band students work VERY hard during band camp. The Band Boosters provide healthy and filling lunches for the students, staff and assistants at band camp. Parent helpers are needed to prepare, serve and clean up after lunch. This is a great way to get to know other parents and meet all the band students. If you feed them, they will love you forever!
Parent chaperones assist the Marching Band during all events. They help the students get ready, make sure all items that are needed are either on the field or packed for away events. You can help for one event or many. For the safety of our students, all parent chaperones are required to undergo a background check through the school at their own expense as well as attend chaperone training and sign a chaperone agreement.
The volunteers are the backbone of our performance days. They care for, maintain, organize, distribute and collect Marching Band uniforms for all of our performances.
OUR FUNDRAISERS
Butter Braids Sales:
Each Fall & Spring of Marching Band season, all of our band programs sell Butter Braids to raise money for their programs. Help is needed each year in collecting orders as well as sorting and distributing the product on pick-up day.
Little Miami Marching Band Festival:
Each year we host bands from all over the state for our Marching Band Festival. This is fast becoming our biggest fundraising event. It takes countless hours of work before, during and after to make this event such a huge success. There are so many ways to help out with our annual Marching Band Festival, including planning, program design, vendor coordination, ticket sales, concessions to band liaisons, parking lot direction and so much more.
Split The Pot Sales:
If you are a people person and love hanging out at the home football games, this is the volunteer opportunity for you. This activity involves working the crowd and stands to sell split the pot tickets prior to the game and up to half time. This is a great way to see new faces, say hello to folks you know, and earn some money for the Band Booster program.
Basketball Concessions:
Volunteers are needed to work the concession stands during home basketball games for both men and women's games. Duties include setting up and preparing food items for the evening, preparing and selling items during the game and cleaning up upon close. This is a VERY important fundraiser as it provides a significant amount of money for the Band Booster program.
